Windows 10 automatically installs the appropriate software for any connected device (provided that the database contains the necessary set of drivers). If the required software is missing in the database or a system failure has occurred, the drive will not be displayed. This rarely happens in flash drives, but more often with external drives .
Our tip: try updating your drivers. This can be done not only in Explorer (where your flash drive is most likely not displayed).
Press the key combination Win + the R .
In the field that appears, enter the command devmgmt.msc .
Open the “Disk drives” section.
Right-click on the desired drive and select “Update Driver”.
Confirm the operation by selecting “Search automatically for updated drivers.”
If that doesn’t help, try downloading the drivers from the developer’s official website. Complete removal of the device from the list of connected devices can also help (in the properties of the disk in the aforementioned utility, select the item “Remove device”). Thus, after restarting the computer, the operating system will try to re-identify the device and install the necessary drivers on it.
